Tactics 100 Live

Incredible strategy game!

The game is easy to learn, but hard to master. I like how there are only four units, but that you can upgrade them and have their stats hidden to the enemy. There are just so much factors you need to keep in mind when making your moves. This game could rival chess :)

I have one suggestion about the knights blocking. I don't like that they stop blocking after they have been hit from the side. I think they should always block the first frontal attack no matter if the knight has been hit before. I rarely see a block occur in a multiplayer game which makes spending points in a shield a bit of a waste, and it makes the knights main feature kind of dull.

Also, is it possible to skip levels or save the game? i played till level 6 in singleplayer an then IE crashed :(. It would be nice to have a level selection also to play around with different army setups.

I hope you take this into consideration. Thanks for the wonderful game!

Very informative.

Thanks for writing this tutorial. I hope it will be recognised, put in the tutorial page and at least placed on the frontpage. I obviously haven't read all 800 pages, but i did read the things that interested me and it was a good read. The tutorial tackles many subjects and can be useful to a large audience of flash animators. This is also the first time i read about storytelling and introduction techniques in a flash-tut.
If you're a flash animator, there is always something that you can still learn from this!

Frag Assault

Am i missing something?

When i start any game mode i get a gun with about 20 bullets. Once i have fired those then all i have left is my sword. And i usually die in wave 3 because i can't get near the flamethrowers.
On one occasion ive seen a shotgun drop and with that i made it to wave 6 and then i died because i ran out of ammo again.
It would be nice if you could somehow get more ammo so that you can actually frag something.

ZTresponds:

Sounds like a good ol' fashioned case of bad luck! Keep trying, maybe you'll see better drops next time :)

Pico's Unloaded: The Game

Pseudo 3D in flash games!

I love seeing pseudo 3D making it in the latest flashgames. Or how i like to call this: Cardboard 3D. The game started off great, smooth controls and fast action, but i was a little disappointed when i discovered that i was stuck in one yard all the time. I loved the character drawings and how you could view them from 8 different sides, it gave me that good old Cannon Fodder feeling.

There are a few problems you probably know already but ill mention them anyway. When i have to hit enemies with my gun i have to aim at their feet (or below their feet). Shooting at the head simply doesnt affect them. Also later in the game, i get a really low framerate. I suspect that too many enemies are spawning in the field. I only have to stay in the upper left corner to kill them one by one, once i found this out it became a bit easy.

All in all this is a great refreshing game to play. I hope to see more games with a similar engine and bigger levels!

Oh, and mr. Ortiz could you reply to my mail? i really need your mad character artwork for brutality :)

BulletTime

A suggestion

Sound travels at 343 m/s. Why not make a hard-mode where the sound is delayed by <distance>/343 seconds. The sound will always come after the bullet hits, but it will be more realistic. And you have to rely on visuals only.

Starfire

Nice game but...

You nerfed my favourite gun in the latest version (vulcan cannon).

Starfighter

Hoping for future episodes

I find this game to be highly enjoyable.
A few things that i would like to mention is that your visible area is a bit too small. All enemy ships can fire at you when you can't see them yet. Zooming the camera out a bit would solve this problem.
Also the arrow that indicates the target is constantly flickering making it hard to read and follow.

It would be great to have several missions to select from each level. So that you can for example choose to do a side job to make more money. Or go for the key story mission straight away which leads you to harder missions!

Gunny bunny++

Oh god! not another bunny flash

When i saw the title i feared to see another bunnykill. Luckily this was different...
Graphics are really nice and all. You put 3D vector graphics to excellent use. The faked looking around effect is also well done. but this game has some serious gameplay issues; I begin, 2 enemies pop up and i have to blast each of them for about 2 mintues and i can't seem to die at this point. When i move further, hordes of enemies spawn on the screen which dont seem to be a threat at all.. and the hitboxes seem to be too big. you hardly need to aim. This game comes down to emptying your guns and reloading (which also takes very long)

Maganic Wars Final

Great game

But PLEASE remove the blocking. It seems to appear at random and its pointless. Its really annoying when you waste a double strike on an attack thats being blocked

Project-X (Translated)

Flattering

This game is well drawn (in most parts) and quite challenging, but there is one thing i noticed immediately;
The reference to Combat Instinct is far too evident in this one which may have brought down your points for Style. Yet, Its flattering to see evidence that my flashmovies have inspired people to make flashgames.
