How to max enchanting fast in ESO? ›

Runes are the words used by Runesmiths to enchant weapons and armour, while enchantments are the words used by Enchantsmiths for the same purpose.

Glyphs are the Enchantments that can be applied to gear, any gear, after that. They have levels that must match the Gear (not the player) and they will overwrite any current Enchantment already on gear they are applied on. To enchant a piece of gear, Rt Click and select Enchant.

The fastest and most useful way to level Enchanting fast is to disenchant everything you aren't using – that means everything. Disenchanting not only gives massive Enchanting XP, it also allows the player to imbue that Enchantment onto a new piece of gear.

In order to obtain the highest level of enchantment, you need a total of 15 bookshelves. The bookshelves must be arranged one block away from the enchanting table in a 1 high, 5 by 5 square, with an opening for a door.
