Is Disney World attendance down in 2024? ›

It's been a weird year for Walt Disney World crowds. Wait times have been increasing year-over-year in 2024, reversing monthly declines for the first time since January 2023. This post takes a look at potential factors why some days, weeks, and even months have been busier than the same dates last year.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays tend to be slightly less crowded year-round. July and August can sometimes be good times, MagicGuides said, if you can handle the heat, but overall the summer is full of vacationing Disney fans. You also want to generally avoid times when kids are out of school.
